System information file (SIF) is Compound File Binary Format based on OLE Structured Storage.

Global file information are stored in Summary Information Stream Property Set. It is written by default HeaderWriter (and read by default HeaderReader) which can be replaced by assigning TMiTeC_Component.OnWriteHeader/OnReadHeader event. Data from Summary Information Stream Property Set are stored in TStorageInfoRecord when data is loaded from file.

Saved data are stored in hierachical structure which mimics ordinary file system storage. Stream format is plain text consisting from lines in format 'name=value'. However it can be compressed/decompressed or/and encrypted/decrypted using TCodeStreamProcedure in TMiTeC_Component.SaveToStorage/LoadFromStorage method.

See Demo 02 for more information.

You can use MiTeC Structure Storage Viewer to browse SIF internals.
